⬛ Black out text

Type the words you need to hide (one per line). Pages are redrawn with black boxes over every match and saved as pictures, so the hidden text is truly gone.

Quick answer
To redact a PDF, list the words or patterns to hide, one per line, and press Redact. Matching text is covered with black boxes and every page is saved as an image, so the hidden text cannot be copied out.
Always check the result before sharing. Text split across lines, or inside images, may not be found automatically.

Frequently asked questions

Is this real redaction?

Yes in the sense that matches are drawn over and the page is flattened to an image, so the original text is not hidden underneath. Always review the result.

What can it miss?

Text inside pictures, and words split across lines, may not be found automatically.

Where do my files go?

Most tools work entirely inside your browser tab, so the PDF is processed on your device and not uploaded to us. The AI tools are the exception: with your own key, the text of your PDF is sent to the AI provider you choose, and they say so before you start.

Do I need an account, and is there a limit?

No account, no watermark and no daily limit set by the site. Very large files are limited only by your device’s memory.
